Thank you for your interest in Michael Lake Equestrian Centre.

MLEC is a 100 acre facility that issituated along the edge of Michael Lake.   Our large indoor arena with a width of 100ft is excellent for jumper training.  We are planning to extend our existing outdoor mulch ring (with a wonderful view over Michael Lake to Mount Benson), to a full size 20mx60m dressage arena.

The property is a blend of forest and open fields.  The open fields hosts our cross country course which is open in the summer months for our island XC Coaches to bring their students to train over beginner to preliminary obstacles.

Sarah & Joanne, our coaches, are the co-ordinators (managers) for a new boarding concept at MLEC ~ Co-operative Boarding.  Boarders have full use of the indoor & outdoor arenas as well as in the summer months access to both the open fields and the forested areas for trail riding.

Travel on the Island Highway #1
Turn onto Cedar Road Exit –SOUTH of the Nanaimo Airport
Turn Right onto Yellowpoint Road
After “McNab’s Farm” & at the crest of the hill, turn Right on Doole Road.
